How CareLabel Guide builds its result
CareLabel Guide is a browser-first explainer. It does not inspect an actual photo of a garment label and it does not identify the fabric automatically. Instead, it turns your selected laundry symbols into practical home-care instructions using a conservative consumer interpretation.
What the tool uses
- The washing symbol sets the strongest boundary for temperature and agitation.
- The bleach, drying, and ironing symbols define what should be avoided after washing.
- The optional professional-care symbol tells the tool whether a safer fallback exists.
- Fabric, colour, and soil level only adjust the routine inside those boundaries. They never override a stricter care symbol.
What the tool does not do
- It does not certify textile safety.
- It does not replace written brand instructions, fibre-specific cautions, or professional cleaner judgment.
- It is not meant for leather, suede, fur, heavily embellished garments, or heritage pieces.

As a practical rule: if the written tag or fibre blend suggests a stricter treatment than the symbol summary, the stricter instruction wins.
